Jeep got Broken into!!

SO its true, while I was dining at On the Border, tonight, I came out and noticed my rear driver's side door window was not there at about 11PM. I thought to myself, I rolled that up. So I walked over noticed glass everywhere and stuff everywhere. Then I noticed my speaker wires were not attached to anything. My 2 10" infinity subs in a box were stolen! That setup is like $380. So now I need to fix my window. I think I could do the window replacement myself, but was open to suggestions, now I know your thinking insurance will cover it, but being that I am in college, I have full coverage but like a $1000 deductible. So has anyone done this job before, or looked at the window motor and what not. By the way if anyone sees that piece of glass for sale or somewhere please let me know. So I guess thats it for now I will keep you updated, I am going to call the insurance agency tomorrow, and see if they can help me out. Thanks so much for all your guys knowledge on stuff, and helping me out whenever I need it.

Yea. It's real easy to replace the glass and the motors. There's probably a writeup in OEM tech somewhere. I had to replace both the driver and passanger side power windows.

My XJ got broken into at the RV show in Denver two years ago. I got lazy and didn't take the faceplate with me. I was parked right across from the convention center in a pay lot. It was noon on a clear day with 100's of people walking by the lot constantly to get to the show. They actually hit about six cars in that lot. Worse, the parking lot attendant was there taking the money out of the box when I approached him :smsoap: about the break-ins.

Yeah, some POS hit mine at the park-n-ride in LLand. They popped the vent window to get in and stole my $35 no name brand cd player. They were sooooo stupid they cut the rca plugs off the back of the unit! I was more annoyed because I had just bought the cd that was in the player. I don't know what year your Jeep is, but I do have a spare piece of glass you can have. I can even get it to you if you can wait till next Sunday.

My question is: If you were in a restaurant, why didn't anyone neither hear nor see it? Hmmm.

Mine was broken into about 4 months ago. And like frankenstang57, lost only a broken CD player. On the bad side, the stole $4500 in camera gear. The equipment was owned by the Aspen Times, so it was insured and they got new.

I'm just more annoyed they broke the bezel in the dash, which costs more then the POS CD player.
