Jeep Commander

I was trying to see how much power the hemi acually had, I had it in 4x4 and spinning all tires on pavement when one or more of the tires grabbed and then bang bang bang.

Quadra-Trac I Full-Time 4x4 and I belive the rear was posi.
 
WOAH!! Man that... that is crazy.. trying to smoke all four on pavement i am assuming totally dry... wierd...

no wonder it busted... I guess.. what do i know..LOL
 
SO i decided to buy the commander. and it has the Quadra-Trac II not Quadra-Trac I. I should have it next Wednesday, when the new trasfercase is installed.

That system has the capability to transfer 100% of the torque to one wheel if the others are spinning.
 
Ok so I went to pick up the commander, it was not fixed yet.Ok the bad news is, I really broke the commander. Not just the transfercase, but the tranny case cracked, and broke two teeth on the front ring gear.

The salesman even got mad at me, he said "how the fu@k did you do that".

I cant actually blame him. And I am banned from the dealership. He wont even sell me the commander anymore. My own fault.

I find it hard to believe they won't sell it to you now.

Most warranties do not cover "abuse or neglect". With that said, you'd be a gold mine to the service dept, with your driving habits.

I have GOT to call BS here. :bs:

C'mon! If you got banned from the dealership, you did a lot more then have a mechanical issue on a test drive. Any store with their head on right would simply submit the damage as a warranty claim, and happily sell you another one in stock...and wait patiently for you to come in to service when you break the new one. My bet? Took one home, broke it, loan couldn't get approved, and they said, "Don't bother coming back."

If I'm wrong, I'm sorry. But you've got to give a better explanation....

Reminds me of that famous service call where after 4 hours the tech tells the customer to unplug it, put it back in the box it came in and return it to the store. Some people should not be allowed to own one...:laugh3:
