I like that part of it, I think it makes it look a lot cleaner. I like the XJ front too, but that's why I've got multiple Jeeps, I can make them each look different. I'm glad not everyone likes it though, that way maybe those of us that do it will stand out more .

im not in on any buy yet, but to you guys the prices seem real cheap you might as well buy a set of fenders instead of spending time modding old ones.

There not bad, it depends on the model. Id take a black limited with h.o. or overland anyday. WK's a very nice for ride quality and luxury, but idk about the styling there either. Just dont get me, or most of us for that matter, on the way jeep's been going on new models since the end of the XJ.

And one more thing is that I've always viewed the XJ to be an american icon. I always thought of it as a patriotic symbol (just like a wrangler) and to put chinese parts on it just reminds me of the way things are changing. That's my two cents, hopefully it'll have some value (no pun intended).

i will agree with all that. the xj sold so well, you see so many on the road, why stop making it? :dunno:

I agree I mean you see trucks like the F-150 that have been around for what like 50 years or something? Why not the XJ? Their new lineup is crap today. IMO

I just got the price list back from Alexparts, and MAN, they are a fraction of the price that Zhao wanted for the items. That is the good news. The bad news if that Alexparts cannot get us the Fenders, or the Marker Lights (Fender Lights) so we will still have to go through Zhao for that. So Ehall if you are still in contact with 4x4groupbuy you will want to let them know this, or you can cc me your correspondance to them and I'll forward over the list that Alexparts sent to me. We will still need to get a final count from everyone, and I think that after the masses see how cheap this is going to be there may be a decent influx of orders. To recap the prices of the Fenders and Marker lights are $42ea for Fenders, and $1.80 each for Markerlights, plus whatever the shipping is on whatever we want for QTY from Zhao, then whatever 4x4groupbuy will charge to ship to your door from Portland ME.

I saved the full list from Alexparts as a JPG so you guys can see the list. As you can see this is really cheap stuff. I'm building my list of what I want, and I'll pass along a spreadsheet to anyone who wants to get in as well, just PM me with your e-mail, or e-mail me [email protected] I'll add the cost of the parts from Zhao (fenders & markerlights) to the bottom of the Alexparts list so you have it all in one spot. Ehall why don't you contact me so we can kinda join up here and stop duplicating efforts.

I was wondering about that too but I got to thinking...I'm sure it will be so widespread, yours is probably the only one you'll ever see like that in person.
