It's not something I'm planning on doing but I was just curious if anyone out there has used jb weld to stick a washer on a wallowed out track bar hole for the front track bar axle mount? Or if anyone thinks this would work? After watching a bunch of YouTube videos on strength tests of jb weld it has me wondering lol

I would not trust it to hold for long.

You can buy a oversize bushing and bolt!

I would not use JB weld.

Ruffstuff has nice weld washers but they only go down to 1/2” and only in SAE sizes.

I would probably try the oversized bolt kit or weld on a couple regular washers stacked together.

Kevin's offroad is out of business. I tried to buy some of those a little while back and they say their remaining stock is on ebay and nothing left for XJs.

JB Weld won't work.

I cut a piece of 1/4" steel to fit the face of the axle side track bar bracket, and drilled a hole that fit the bolt tightly. I drove to my buddies shop and welded it all around. That was years ago and it still works.

I don't know that Core 4x4 lists the oversized track bar bolt and flag nut as a stand alone item, but they do sell them with their track bars. A phone call to them might get you the parts you need without having to buy the track bar.

thanks for the responses this isn't something that I needed to do or was planning on doing I was just really curious if anyone has jb welded a washer on the track bar bracket on the axle side that's all lol
