J10 Front D44s going in...what can I expect ?

Ball joints, U-joints, axleshafts, ring and pinion set, brake rotors, calipers, wheel bearings, carrier bearings, pinion bearings, brake pads, tie rod ends, hub lockouts, brake fluid and gear lube.

If you are keeping the factory 4 link, you'll also need axle brackets and new bushings.

You can get a reamer and a tap to make your own steering. I used 0.813" ID x 1.375" OD x 0.281" WALL A513 TYPE 5 TUBE and a 7/8x 18TPI right hand tap for all the tie rod ends. This DOM has the correct ID size hole so you don't have to drill it out to tap. I used the ES2234R tie rod end at both ends on my draglink and tierod. I am running the tierod in the stock location and the draglink to the highsteer arm. I used the TR-216-2 Tapered Reamer 7/16in-1inx6 1/2in from www.goodson.com to ream out all the holes for the larger taper.

Using RH tie rod ends makes adjusting things a little bit more tricky but I only have to carry one spare. They also cost $17 at knechts but you don't get a jam nut, they are $24 at AutoZone and you get a jam nut.

Total cost with the reamer and tap would be around $200 - $250.
