Hey Dan,

You are almost in the neighborhood now. One of the guys in the local club is down in Hanford. You are welcome to run with us once you get settled if you want. I suspect next year we will run (at a minimum) Bald, Swamp Lake, Red/Coyote Lake, Dusey and The Con (before they destroy any more of it).

Look forward to seeing your new Toy.

Still teaching. Big job fair in March and it looks like that after some prelim calls, a few districts are drooling over me and my wife and are willing to pay more. We will actually hit 6 figures (combined of course). I will probably also do a bit of lecturing at local JC's to fund the cruiser.

You can visit us at www.caljeeps.com. Don't worry about the name, there is a mix of vehicles. Most are SWB Jeeps, but there are two XJ's, a couple of Toyota PU's, an S-10 PU, and a dirt bike that I know of. There is an engineering student at Fresno State that is building a Cruiser on a budget, so you can swap tales. Everything from mildly built to $$$ rigs. Most of guys are in the Fresno/Clovis area.

I lived in Fresno for 5 years finishing up my graduate work and I lectured at Fresno State and Fresno City during that time. My wife's parents live in Lemoore and we are moving there so our son can be closer to family. I also want to get a barn on some property and install a lift for wrenching and set up a complete shop.

Oh dang. guess that means 3 figures Actually, with the advanced degrees my wife and I have, we are at the top of the way scale. But that isn't saying much on a teachers income.

Thanks for the info. I'll look them up. I know there is Clovis Indipendent and Fresno 4 wheel Drive around there also.
