Is this trailer worth it?

I did go ahead and buy it, I called around to every trailer store/lot in the area and they all said that the trailer was a good deal. I do wish the axles were a little beefier (that could be changed in the future), but for my purposes it should work out just fine

Fix your Jeep now! :laugh3:

Take a good look at the frame before you put 5k axles under it. That gooseneck should be built heavy enough to handle an 8k cargo, but be sure.

$1,600 is a pretty good deal, I'm shelling out a bunch more for a 20' 10k flat tag.

I once hauled a mini ex in the bed of a dually pick up.

I think the trailer is a good deal

That reminds me of the "Big Dumb Loads" thread on Pirate.
If you've not seen it, you should check it out.

Well we have another trailer queen...

The neighbors are dropping a load in their pants! There goes the property value even further! :D

How are you going to put the camper in the bed?

Uh oh, i guess i'll have to figure out a way to mount it to the top of the gooseneck. :guitar:

Loose the ramps, you don't need them for an XJ.

The ramps come in handy, as Hale said ill be using it for more then just the XJ. Plus the ramps don't really get in the way too much, if they ever do then i'd take them off, but i don't see them being an issue.

if only there was some member of this forum that had a small pop up camper that they would let go pretty cheep do to the fact that it doesn't have a title and said member doesn't really feel like going through the title prosses so would want to sell it to somebody not needing to plate it

God forbid he use the trailer for anything else.

Wouldn't need them for a mini-ex either. Just something else to hear clangin' and rattlin' around. Less weight, though weight probably isn't an issue. Just a PITA to let down, and then pick back up, maybe I'm just getting lazy. That and they would be easy enough to put back on.

Oh nevermind the rattlin' and clangin' part, I just noticed your truck has a Cummins. You won't even remember the trailer is back there.

just wait till your broke down and try loading it on the trailer while it is not under power without any ramps...I lost a ramp on the road one time adn when I had to load my junk up later and it was broke down, it was a royal PIA to get loaded. We used rocks, wood and anything else we could come up with to get it loaded up. Good choice to keep the ramps on there.

Cheeseman-OUT!
