Check for the vacuum leak - or just replace the vac line from the reservoir up to the firewall.
Back flush the heater core – it’s amazing how much crud can build up in there. I usually just plan on replacing the heater hoses and the plastic valve (don’t know what year you got). That way I can just use a razor and peel the hoses off the heater core rather than risk damaging the core. The valve (I know it’s in the 91 – 95, don’t know about later) will either break while you are moving the hoses around, or 2 weeks later. Thinking about it, you could probably just run the hoses direct for the winter. . .
If that doesn’t work, look for a 12volt blanket that plugs into the cigarette lighter – $20 and up – get one big enough to cover the entire back seat, and pull a seat cover over it. The trick is to sit on it, rather than try to cover up with it. Put some carpet scraps down on the rear floor for extra insulation for the feet, and add a few travel blankets.
