I could use a little help. I've got a lot of people asking about battery cable lenghts I don't have - and I'd be perfectly willing to make them if I knew how long!

Essentially, I need to be able to get under the hood of the following:

1984-86 XJ/MJ I4
1984-86 XJ/MJ V6
1987-90 XJ/MJ I4
1991-95 XJ/MJ I4
1991-95 XJ/MJ I6
1996 XJ I4
1996 XJ I6
1999-01 XJ I4
1999-01 XJ I6

So I can take battery cable measurements myself. I don't need to disconnect anything, and it takes me about 15-30 minutes to make sure I get everything.

The catch? My schedule is a little odd, so it might take a little effort to touch base.

I spend most of my time San Jose (near 85 and Camden) and Cupertino (De Anza College) - so preference will be given to those closer to me. If this all gets done, I'll have to think of something nice to do for everyone who actually helps!

Please post here or PM if you can help me out with all of this...

I almost forgot - I'll also measure anything else Jeep you might have handy, if we meet where you keep such things...

I live in Cupertino and also go to De Anza. I've got a buddy who has a 89 XJ daily driver (white, 33's, bumpers) I also have a 95 XJ at home (about 5 minutes away from de anza. And furthermore, depending on how tomorrow goes I may have a 88 MJ daily driver. (all have I6's)

Lemme know if me/him can help.

Think you could bring the 95 to school one day? Here's my skeds:

TUE - 0730-1210 AUTO94A
1210-1530 "Research" in auto shop catalogues
1545-1800 MATH49B

WED - 0730-1210 AUTO94A

THU - as TUE

FRI - as WED

Variations - I sometimes spend time working in the machine shop (E23?) on MON and WED evenings, but this is inconsistent. I'm also willing to stay a little after class, if that's what it takes to link up with you.

I'd not worry about the two RENIXes - since I've already got measurements on those confirmed from my four (87XJ, 88XJ, 2x89XJ) - unless you've got an I4 sneaking around in there somewhere?

ive still got that 91 up in the north bay - and once it gets running - you can borrow it till the sun comes home (till may 8 next year)

progress on the FCE?

Progress on the FCE.

I took my plans to a CNC shop last week (one of my instructors,) he's going over them and I'll probably get some suggestions and some price ideas next week. Hopefully, I'll get a small paying job right about the same time, and I can pay for some prototypes and check them out on my own XJ's before I release them for sale.

I'm fairly confident that I can get something going by year's end - so watch my site for details!
