I was 15, had recently finished the work on my '71 Cougar, but wasn't allowed to drive it for another month.
I took it out to do a couple burnouts to impress some buds.
Everything was fine till I knocked over a 5 gallon can of used oil on the newly poured garage floor while pulling it in.
5 gallons sure looks bigger on the floor than in the bucket.

Brad, That is why, when my kid's car is broken, he walks or finds a ride.
I would even drive him somewhere before I would let him drive one of my cars....
NEVER NEVER NEVER will he drive something of mine!
Kids are kids, they can't help the way they are.....

Ahh, good eye!

I drove the "fall off the trailer"-mobile back and forth from work every day for a week and a 1/2!
Now JR. gets to drive it untill this is fixed.
So bite me GS Guy....

BUT, He has not driven it, I fought the urge to make my life, in the short term easy.
I decided it was not worth the hassle.
I thought about all of the trouble he could get into and left it at my shop.

$230 for two keys programmed for the car.

I was informed by the salesman at the Jeep dealership where we bought our new one that replacement keys are $150.00 each. They also need to be programmed to the car.

Same here. The keys with the lock/unlock FOB built in.

Also, there is a transmitter in there that has to be near the steering column to allow the vehicle to start. i.e., you can't just have a hardware store cut you a key and expect it to work, you have to have the factory programmed one.

If you use an aftermarket remote start, you have to attach a key under the drivers side dash within the envelope of the key transmitter.

That is IF you have both keys....don't lose one.

BTW - The LR3 is the same way, with both keys it was like $200, lose one.........
