Great to hear it.

Look at the saver awards. You may be able to turn that 200k into 10 nights.

That ought to take a beating ... looks great Randy.

I actually wheeled my junk, made it a bit junkier too. Hardly an inch of straight frame rail now. Forgot how fun it was to actually take that thing off road.
First trail of the weekend, trail boss and I make it up fine. A cj breaks his driveshaft, we replace, breaks it another 10yards later, then blows a hub. Takes another 45minutes to get the one wheel drive cj up the trail. A tj's throttle gets stuck and ramps the first obstacle, breaks a motor mount and transmission mount, manage to get him back down in another half hour. All in all we spent a good 2 hours on a trail that should have took 20 minutes. Once we got the weak links out it was pretty smooth riding.

Heres me with 9 tires :D I think i might have bent a leaf on the ride up

hmmm. So im pretty sure I will install 4.88's while im building. Any thoughts Ramsey I seem to remember you were on 4.56 and didn't feel that it was enough? I guess I will be sleeving my "frame" too. I have the material, its just a matter of welding and cutting.

Broke a lot of shit

Bent a lot of shit

Need to never break another front axle... EVER...

Need lower gears in the t-case...

Need a higher clearance rear axle...

it suxors with 35s on the road, offroad running 34s and stock t-case it is ok. lower would be nice though.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess your not talking about this guy.

I have Warn alloy inners in front with stock outers and OEM joints. Also now carry loaded spares including bearing/hubs.

I'm considering ditching the spares and going to Alloy USA outers and alloy joints to cut down on cargo.

Would you trust alloys (and no spares) to 4.10s, lockright, and 31s? I'm not the hardest on my stuff and I don't think I'd ever have a problem, but I'm still leary of not carrying spares. Each new trip I push the Jeep a little harder.

Opinions please.

Breakage happens. Would suck to ruin a weekend having your spares back home.

That's what I keep thinking.

Dont you have a tow rig?

leave the spares in the tow rig...
I agree. I have two spare sets of d35 shafts. I bring one set and leave the other to weigh down the tent.
