just after 9 and i am already bored. gonna be a long day!

I spent all day playing 'airline bingo', I was bored. But they did finally figure out how to get to Chicago. Left Phoenix 10 minutes behind schedule got to Chicago 20 minutes early. Gotta love it when the pilots are on their last run of the day.

Hey folks,
how do you feel about UFWDA?
Are you happy with United?
Would you be happier if we were associated with a different group,
such as Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC), or any others?
I'd like to hear some thoughts on this from you all,
as this might become an issue in the near future.
Where do you stand, whom would you prefer to support?

Prefer? Prefer to support both.

Unfortunately, UFWDA seems to be rudderless right now. But the BRC seems to be much more 'western' oriented, than an organization I want to see my money in.
I haven't had any of the trouble some of the others report in getting their newsletters and such.

Not to mention I would be EXTREMELY concerned, about my money being wasted on snowmobile issues. And before I get a bunch of flames about this, they are completely different issues. Especially here in IL, where snowmobile clubs can get state money to waste on whatever goofy project they can dream up. 4x4's can't even get the state to honor grants they agreed to issue. Snowmobiles have access to state parks and public land in areas. 4x4's have to fight to get even the meager private parks we do have. And that is not a cut on the Owners and staff of Rockport and the Cliff's simply the state of things.

Specifically, I'm referring to what group, you, as members, would want your portion of your membership dues to go to.
Currently, UFWDA gets our funds.
I only used the BRC as an example.

Bottom line, out of all the organizations out there, who would you prefer this money to go to?

Unfortunately, I'm not very aware of any other "national organizations" that I would rather support over the UFWDA and/or the BRC. This is due to my own lack of initiative to investigate other sources. I do not really care about whether or not I get newsletters or a sticker as some have mentioned in the Members Forum. However, I do care how well they are helping to keep public land access open ... even if it's mainly out west. The UFWDA seems to be doing their part in this effort.

OT ... Has anyone suggested any other national organizations that better address our interests? I'd sure appreciate some education along these lines.
