How does a terrorist group kidnapping two people, justify a government to attack an entire country. Then Bush saying they are defending themselves and its not excessive. Come on people, does that not smell just a little of bullshit. Punish the people of Lebanon for actions by a group of militants, am I the only one that thinks Israel might have gone a bit far with this one. Was it right what hezbollah did, hell no, it was downright stupid. Just when Lebanon was getting its shit together and becoming a very nice place, this has to happen. I just hope Israel is not dumb enough to hit Syria. I hope the UN steps in quickly because Lebanon is helpless to stop this. Sure some of you say "Put one of mine the hospital we put one of yours in the morgue" well they have done that x50. You wouldnt think it was justified if you had family there.

I appreciate your opinion Ramsey ... it's a different perspective on the situation.

The dilemma is the whole "harboring terrorist" issue, which is used as a "justifiable reason" for preemptive strikes. To the extent a country actually harbors (or supports) a terrorist group is subjective for sure.

The whole situation, worldwide, is a damned shame IMO.

I think we will be seeing how useless the UN really is. This crap has been building for years.....I think we are on the verge of ww3.

Perhaps when countries start realizing that there's a high price to be paid for sheltering these assholes they'll be less likely to welcome them with open arms.

I have driven by this place...."middle of nowhere" describes it very well....the "town" it is in makes Durand look like Chicago.
