What do you thingk I got, I spent thousands of dollars and six months on this build only to sink it in a freaking WATER HOLE 20 mins into it's first run!

The water us up over my lap sitting in the drivers seat!
Howie was in the passenger seat and he was high and dry.

Things I learned...
The power window switches will work even while submerged!
The rail on top of the spark plugs that hold the coil packs are not fun to take off.
A submerged XJ gets very grumpy and alot of strange noises come out from under the dash.

Too funny.:)

With the 85 I did pretty much the same thing. Wife was high and dry dangling by her seat belt and I was in the water up to my arm pit. Friends put a strap on the passenger side to keep me from rolling into the water all the way. Right side was completely off the ground.

Results: Wife is scared of off camber situations now, driver seat electronics don't work now but the window switches still work after being in the water for a few minutes, nasty smelling interior, and more rust for the collection.

The 96 I just bought has alot of problems from being in the water past the steering column. Fun fun.:repair:

The call has come, the wheels are in motion, the delivary is in about 3 weeks. Hopefully the event FKACF will see me without leaning front wheels. :D

Things I learned while wheeling with Sean.

1. Never believe him when he says, 'quick ride'
2. Even when Sean is on the line, he is really not on the line
3. Sean probably hasn't worked on whatever will break
4. Always bring your tools with, cause Sean probably doesn't have whatever you need to fix what he broke.
5. Removing and replacing the spark plugs while standing in a swamp sucks.

Ohh, and kids well tell ANYONE that will listen Sean tried to drown them.

D and C cage install alone is a pain in the ass, that and i do believe the windshield bar may be too short. :mad:
 
So i'm just incompitnet, occasionally impotent, and possibly soon to be incontinent.

After my trip home to ohio, told nate I'd get this posted in here for him.
