Or, you could find someone for him to F in the F and steal the car whilst his attention is otherwise occupied.

You don't have to live with her eather. However I can say her temperment has gotten nicer as she is getting older.

I noticed the storms roll through but was watching HBO, didn't get bad enough for me to think about tornados.

Know it well.

Used to stay at the Hampton across the street. Interesting town, gotta love the casinos on every corner.

Not any more! Now I can say I've installed a locker, and not just one of those winpy lunchbox jobbies, full carrier replacemtn bishes

Good job.

You were right mark, I thought that it was going to be a helluva project, and was very intimidated.
Had a buddy that's done it before there to tell me what I needed to do. We measured backlash, popped outthe carrier and stuck in the Detroit. Didn't even need to change shims. Totally lucked out on that one. Checked the backlash again and it was one thousandth off. I don't think ti's going to matter that much. Gear pattern looked good, it's righ in the middle on the drive side, and a little towards the toe(?) on the coast. Both were acceptable patterns according to his 89 FSM.

Awesome. I haven't done any gear setups yet, although I understand conceptually what all the various adjustments are. I think if you aren't messing with the pinion depth then it greatly simplifies things since you've eliminated that variable altogether.

I've built damn near everything you can build for a vehicle and I've never done gear setup.

Harbor Freight had a dial indicator and magnetic mount on sale awhile ago... bought them but haven't used them yet.

Luckily my neighbor and Dane, his friend, both work in a amachine shop, so precision tools were not hard to come by ;)
