Well, finally tossed on the hydro assist ram ive had for 5 years on the shelf. Damn I wholly regret not doing this sooner and not doing it on my old jeep.
I now have the jeep on 37's, Dana 44 front axle, 4 linked rear and a questionable fuel cell. I think Im Pirate circa 2003 cool.
Jeep is mechanically ready to wheel, just need to build a new D pillar for the cage, finish sealing off the rear inner fender(or a fresh batch of duck tape/cardboard and clean up my wiring. And of course now its 100*+ for the next 100 days, so I better finish up my rock lights and start doing some baby night wheeling out here. I wonder how the weather and trails are up by John this time of year, need to give him a ring.
Oh yea, rebuilt trans is questionable on truck, and need it to haul jeep to Rubicon in August, I'll just send it.
It's hotter than hell here too, but on average 10° cooler than there. Come up before July 4th and we'll try Smasher Canyon. After that I'll be busy with more remodeling on a friend's 112 year old warehouse, an Alaska cruise, then heading back to shitcago for 50 year grade school reunion, maybe have some more free time later in September.
And whenever it's hotter than hell here, I just think about how lucky I am to have escaped from Hellinois!
