Are you sure it wasn't religion made you awake and non-gassy?
Saw one this winter that looked like the Q-tec catalog threw up on. Shittybuilt and Rugged Ridge all over it. It had a 4.0l that sounded like the rods were trying to escape from the blockWe just sent 2 to the salvage 2 weeks back, one had a bad 4.0 the other had a slipping transmission and a bad 4.0. Got one now that will be parts. They do look good lifted 3".
I have an attorney. They claim that it can't be determined if the charger was the cause of the fire, or a victim. (fire dept determined the hot spot was where the charger was located)
If you can't prove that the product was negligent, they don't have to do anything. The only thing an attorney is going to do is take your money.
Replace the tierod and ends with a V-8 ZJ set. If you are going to wrench on rusted rotted junk, might as well do the easy upgrade to it.Wow, this red XJ has more road craziness than a bus full of mental patients. Thinking that its time to replace some steering components. It has the adjustable RC track bar that is the old style that uses the factory upper mount. I am thinking its time to replace that set up with a newer one that has the HD upper mount. I've seen a lot that have poly bushings on one end and a hiem on the other. Those of you running that set up, is it good on road?
Also, since it likely has the same TRE's etc under it for the past 225K miles, I am going to replace all of that. Thinking an ebay package deal of just stock replacements since this is just a street queen 95% of the time. Any suggestion as to why or why not that would not work? The BJ's appear to be tight, but will have the alignment shop determine if those are needed. Going to throw a good steering stabilizer on it while I am at it.
So aside from not posting this in the tech threads, I figured Id' ramble here and look for suggestions or opinions on this or even looking for other economical ideas to get new steering items under this and get rid of the shakes....
Yes, but it's no different than the XJ drag link. It's definitely easier to do.it that way.that was one of my thoughts, will the ZJ drag link work with it too? I know I could search, but just thought I would ask.
