If your inner seals are screwed it wont leak unless it's rotating. You may have hit a happy place and it's locked but it will leak when you move.
Jack it up and lock it and put it in drive.

Lol...That's probably on the agenda. The funny thing is I bought the sport Trac knowing I would need to swap the drivetrain soon but I thought the motor was on its way out. The tranny ate the overdrive sprag under hard acceleration and took out r, 3,4,5. Damn Ford's
