My current remodeling customer backed her brand new Denali into my work jeep, a few weeks ago, despite the warning system's beeps and seat vibration. Minor damage, but I bet if she had hers repaired it would be more than the jeep is worth. I made her buy me a new tail light. :D
 
I was looking at an 04 KJ yesterday around the block from where I work. Just had for sale sign, no price and the shop was shut down. Seems like it could be a decent DD, but knowing myself it'll get a BB and end up in the same boat as the XJ with bad mileage. Anyone ever wheel one?

I've got a lifted 02 KJ that's the wife's DD. It's been lightly wheeled. Factory limited slip and skids. I'm surprised how well it's done with 31 ATs on it.

if it's a 3.7 auto has 3.73 gears. 4.10s with a 4 banger.
Anything after 02 has 8.25 with disks. Good lifts make a world of difference also. No BB will be worth a crap cause of the roll over problems they had literally 28 different coil and strut rates making none of the years the same heights and factory struts are junk anyhow.

Anyways If your looking for a nice KJ I have one for sale. pre lifted
 
Saw this swap today now that I've been poking around in sport Trac groups...Guy basically used most of a donor pickup that the bought for 4k and sold half of to recoup the cost. Then he used pretty much everything from the truck. Pretty unique swap. 302 HP from a na v6 is impressive. The acceleration vids at the end are pretty impressive

Weather at KOH was awesome today. Got to see a bunch of stuff I've never seen before. Facebook folks saw some live stuff from Chocolate Thunder while the live feed was down.

Got the official word today.. no Winterfest for me. Boss denied me taking even Friday off. I don't have any time off coming to me until the Monday after, so I was relying on his convincing the owner to let me just lose the day. I thought the whole 'save money not paying me' would do it.
 
Brought the wife out for dinner last night, it was the worst service I can ever remember. Was 25 minutes waiting on waitress to get drink orders, when she arrived she wanted to take drink, appetizer and dinner order and then argue that if I had her bring 2 beers one would get warm.....bitch please, I'm a professional! Then our food went to the wrong table, appetizer showed up after main course and was cold, no refills and waited another 30 minutes on our check, which never arrived. Went to pay and they had me tell them what we had and the waitress still couldn't get us a ticket and acted pissed off at us. So no tip for her and I may have forgot to add the drinks on our total......whoops.

Sounds like a plan. But.. I want to actually keep this job for awhile. They pay me more money than the amount of actual work I do. My boss is down to pestering me only a few times day for things I already told him. And I got a compliment from the owner during me getting WF time denied. He said that shipments are up 30% YOY with me there and we are getting alot less product shortfalls. While neither is true, I appreciate the crazy old bastard thinking as much. I will have to use those figures when review time comes. I want two farmer sized mailboxes money...
 
So starts the trip home...

Wife and I are planning on getting out of the fusion for a SUV. She wants an elxporer. I want a JKU. Originally the plan was to trade in her fusion. Today she was talking about keeping her fusion cuz she loves it. I said that's fine, I'll trade in my truck. She thought that may be a good idea since my truck is just a supercab. I informed her that I would not be trading in my truck on an explorer.

Probably will be so far upside down on either that I won't be able to do it anyway. ��
