Important

Maybe ill snag a D30 spartan. Id love an air locker, but too much cash. An LSD will probably fill my rear next year, whether it be 8.8 or a 29 spline 8.25. Still gonna be a DD probably for another year, and snow vehicle til I get too stupid

Dont be scared of the 27spl 8.25. I trashed the one in the buggy for 6years welded on 34rs then 36s with no issues at all besides killing yokes. Swapped on a ublot style yoke from Norther Drivetrain and never looked back. ZJ disks are an easy swap just run longer lug studs.

Plus u gotta set up gears. If you gonna do that may as well go bigger gears at same time. prolly 1k per axle

prolly someone will disagree but shoot throw some lunchbox lockers in and wheel it. Shafts are only 25-35 dollars at JY, if they break.

Nope. For a DD/budget wheeler lunchbox lockers f/r are the way to go. Throw some good ujoints in the front and you are (usually) good to go.

Now time to hunt for deals. I recall someone getting front/rear Aussie lockers for like 400 recently. That should help me wheel my way through Chicago and the badlands. I'm mild on the skinny pedal when wheeling.

You only have to reset backlash when replacing the carrier. I love my zip locker but I needed the structural strength of s full case locker. I think the open carrier with a lunch box is what killed my 88 gears. Well the burn outs is probably what killed it but my full case and a full spool will flex a lot less. No more burn outs anymore either unless it's on rocks lol

I love Pizza and big ol' fat juicy titties.

The best rear locker is when you dog knot a chick.

I forgot i broke the center pin in my lunchbox locker (spartan I think) in Harlan. Took out my ring and pinion.

Happy Thanksgiving gang, enjoy the time with your families n eat until you are at mwc capacity.

Happy turkey day all.

I've ran Aussie front and LSD rear for past couple years with no problems. Now going to be running Detroit front and spool rear. Course there jeep keeps getting less and less miles put on it

I do 90% of the trail with the rear open and the front locked. Climbs like lockers but lets me steer all over the place. I'd never go back to something that was full time locked in the rear. That's where you get all the push in the front end.

I'm working a double today.

Working a regular shift later but will get paid 31.75 an hour for 8 hours. Same pay tomorrow also. With my wife and mother in law working tonight, we are having thanksgiving tomorrow.
