Never done one before but how bad are head gaskets to replace on a 4.0? Thinking of picking up an 01 from a friend but says needs a head gasket.

Very easy. Worst part for me is not spilling coolant everywhere. Do a water pump and t-stat at the same time.

My city is #12 on the list, we have a ton of bars.

#1 and #2 are right next to each other. After attending Rock USA and Country USA up in Oshkosh I can agree that they are crazy in that area, haha

Has to have coil mounts and 2001 junk.

the castings were revised to add material.
TUPY marked heads. As long as the reman is a TUPY head it's good.

You can swap an earlier head, but you either have to make something to hold the coil rail, or swap to a viper coil and a wire set.

If you've got a good head laying around the viper coil isn't that expensive. Slap it on the fender and go. That's my eventual plan.

I always found sand bar drinking to be completely natural.

Also, pretty sure my 4.0's days are numbered, clatters like a SOB except when fully warm. 310k ish miles, all original. On the lookout for a replacement, hoping I can score one so I don't have to pull one at a JY.
