Important

unlikely, I am staying at the hotel this year w/ HoBag and just bringing the minimal essentials...lube, booze, Velcro gloves and cheese.

I am going to look at this rig Sunday. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5383162655.html

High miles, but if I can get it bought right, I will drag it to WF. I have the Wagoneer that I traded for, but I don't feel like putting the work into it to get it ready to come out there. I am likely going to part it out bc it has some really good parts on it. This red XJ is basically ready to go w/ tow points etc, so I don't even have to hurry to build a chzman fab bumper up front....but I may to stick my winch on.

My "buy it, WF it, sell it" system works pretty good most of the time. My out of state hunters want to have a 4x4 vehicle to run around in while they are here, so I may split this rig with them. I own it and have full use of it 351 days a year, they use it 2 weeks, and they pay 1/2 of purchase and all repairs and fees...works for me!

I really don't want to know what you and HoBag are going to do with Lube and velcro gloves.

That looks like a pretty good rig for a WF beatdown. I don't think I'm gonna make it this year, too much going on up my way. My junk needs more work than I have time for at this point, but its getting there. Ill have to post up some pictures, I don't think I even have a build thread for my XJ. If my MJ would sell, I would just order all the garbage I need for my XJ and get it done for WF. That kinda was the plan since July. My tow rig is all ready, I just put in the clutch, fuel tank, some cooling system repairs, new floorboards, some other crap, even got the trailer all ready.

I made explosions the other day, extra cheezy.

I could go with the ZJ again, I did swap 4x4 into her....its a pile.

So what's all wrong with the waggy that it's not worth fixing?

It had axles from like an 85/86/87? era XJ put under it that had factory 4.56's and it was a D30/D35 combo. Prior owner welded the 35, the front brakes are seized he said, so he cut the lines I think. He robbed the lift shocks from it, and it has had a completed motor/tranny upgrade/replacement from the 87 stuff to a full 93 motor, tranny and computer etc. It runs, but has sat for 3-4 years now, so its just the problem s of the unknown that I don't want to get too deep into it.

It has the following good parts on it that I will likely part out:

RC drop brackets
RC 6.5" lift coils
@6+ lift leaf packs
2" spacers
231 w/ AA SYE
D30/35 4.56 geared axles (I'm keeping the d30 locker)
Rusty's HD steering upgrade (old version) w/ all new TRE's
Steering box brace
Homebrew madmax looking bumpers
RC rocksliders
running/functional 4.0HO w AW4
low tread 33's A/T of some sort
4 Turbines (likely Nates property)
Some type air intake, homebrew
RC lift shackles
Waggy 4 headlight header panel that's been painted over black w/ bezels
It also has adjustable UCA's and LCA's I believe, and I think it as an adjustable trackbar too, I will have to look a little deeper on those items.

Or I would consider selling it all minus the locker for the right price.

I seen something today that Indiana is looking at passing a law where you don't have to have a license to carry a hand gun. I hope that one doesn't go thru

no U.S. citizen should be able to carry without a proper background check and training. we have had a rash of former convicted felons carrying up here. so no new laws are going to fix that. If they want the guns, they will find ways to get them.

not lovers of liberty I see.

I should be able to carry whatever I want, however I want without having to ask permission from the government simply because of what it is.

What other things do you have to ask permission to carry in public if otherwise legal? Should we license cell phones because of texting and driving? likely more people die yearly from distracted drivers than handguns. I think we need licenses and training before you can carry a cell phone.

Nate i agree with you that the government shouldn't have a say in what a person wants to carry. What i was getting at was that people who have felonies or have a criminal back ground or are mentally unstable should not be allowed to carry.

Going to start working on finishing my garage. First thing is insulating and finishing off the ceiling.

Should a go with recessed can lights or Go with fluorescent strips?

I think there should be a test everyone has to pass quarterly to use the internet, and it should be controlled by the gov. :D

I have fluorescent lights in my shop, but make sure if you go that route that you get the good ones that don't have to "warm up". I know my buddy has the crazy long ones in his shop and they were the ones that took forever to warm up and get bright. he replaced them with the newer style and they are bright immediately. The $9 jobbies at Walmart are not quick start ones in cold weather.

I like the look of the recessed lights. But the ease of replacement on fluorescent fixtures is nice. When it's insulated I dont plan on it ever being under 40 to 50 degrees in there.

I'm going to post a couple pics of its current condition later.

Sounds like a toss up as to ehat to do with it. You could swap that front axle into the red one and regear the 8.25 or swap both axles into it. Or just spend some time with the crust and wheel a waggy...

I'd shoot you an offer but i font need yet another project to rust away on my lot
