So with aluminum beadlocks, they offer steel or aluminum outer rings. I'm not sure which to get. Do the aluminum rings get pretty beat up by the rocks and that's why they give you a steel option? I'm looking at Racelines from Dave's Off Road Supply.

Yeah, they can get beat up over time. I would get steel outer rings.

The raceline guy asked me if it was trail or race, then suggested the steel rings. The aluminum ones get rashed and then they get sharp and they cut your bead on the outside. The steel rings are more forgiving when you drag them on rocks.
