Bought a tow rig last week, been working on fixing little stuff to get it to pass inspection, brake light switch, wiper motor, and a few other things.

You know it! Vinyl floors are awesome for trucks like this. 1300 lb capacity hydraulic lift gate allegedly works but needs a leak fixed and is low on fluid. Haven't even touched that yet, want to get it plated and then will deal with some of the other stuff. It's definitely been neglected the last couple years it was in use.

Fixed since it was DOT. :D

Yup. Getting it there will work.

Spent most of last night removing hacked up wiring from the raisin. PO added an aux battery the wrong way. More twist and tape than I've seen on any vehicle in my entire life and power being pulled from very low amp circuits.

Glow plug controller is dead, 4 out of 8 glow plugs are dead, rear spring hanger is rusted out, dash bezel held on with duct tape and wood screws, brake light switch was missing entirely, etc...

Yeah, you're right, haha.

be cautious removing the plugs. They mushroom the tips and then break off upon removal. Then you've got to try and fish them out the hole or take off the head.

Only use Beru plugs.
