how sweet would a 2001 Tracker be???? I will find out in a week :D Camilles sister bought one for her kid and they got a new car so here comes this beauty to the farm...I wonder where I can get a few rainbow and unicorn stickers...and a well placed dolphin with dreads sticker. :lastara:

That would make it epically sweet.....You guys can put it on there for me when you come and visit :D

You can do quite a bit to them and be fun little wheelers/beaters. They jump well if your not scared

I am thinking it would make a good little beater for Camille to commute back and forth to her folks farm with. It is about 30 miles one way of rock and crappy 2 lane roads...its a lot cheaper to keep on the road over her tearing up the tires and front end on the new Duramax. We are only giving a grand for it, so I am not expecting too much out of it. It has a newer clutch and new tires...so that's about what I am getting for the price.

I want to get a bumper sticker that says "I brake for beer guts and hairy nuts"

Camille would LOVE it!

FRS/GMRS are UHF. WX is VHF. Marine I don't know without my big book of radio geekery.

Those China radios don't have FCC type acceptance. In the hands of someone with an amateur license they are perfectly legal. For everyone else its a lot more muddy. As long as you don't transmit where you aren't legally entitled, you aren't violating any law. If you are transmitting where you are allowed and you interfere with someone else you are considered at fault due to the radio not having type acceptance.

the one I have in my hand has an FCC ID number and says it complies with part 90.

It seems fully legit.
It's different than the one Josh posted. Must be a newer revision.

fcc ID: zp5bf-5r

It's terribly impressive for a $40 radio.CHIRP programming is dumb simple. THe list that josh posted works and is pretty complete. I'm going to delete the European PMR out of the list and replace it with my local emergency services channels.
About the only issue is a 99 channel memory, but that's plenty for us.

Bulleit bourbon is muy bueno...

Celebrating a little. Finished paying a big irs debt off this week thats been hanging over our heads since 09...also canceled our private health insurance today since I now have company insurance with my new job. All in total that saves us about $1200 a month. That is kind of a big deal...hoping we can keep moving forward

2 door? Turn it into a side by side....

yeah its a 2 door soft top, not the metal hard top unit. I have seen a couple that have been made into SxS's. I can guarantee that they are a hell of a lot less to do than buy a new SxS! We traded our Polaris midsize 500 last winter for a new 2015 570 full size....it has been the biggest let down. It is so loud that you cant hear yourself think. Was claimed to have the torque of the 800...bullshit. We are going to clean it up and trade it in this year. I know I will loose my ass on that deal, but I am to the point I just want rid of it.

Morning Sam!

Got the speedometer fixed on the ZJ. Cruse control is awesome. Holding 70 on the highway with no problems is awesomer. All this talk about hydro assist has me looking at tapping my own box and getting a ram and lines from redneck ram.

Since it rained all day and all I have is outside work,
I put a new radio in my dad's Chevy class C motor home.
I think I am going to kick a fuzzy kitten now!
Fukcing new cars.
The instructions say, "Pull on the bottom of the kick panel, under the steering wheel to remove the dash. The dash is held in with clips."
Assholes forgot to mention the four fukcing screws in the dash.
Also, the "Tow/Haul" button did not have any wires attached to it.
Does that seem strange?
