Important

Everyone's gotta believe in something. I believe I will have another beer...

anyone know if you can access the blend door actuator on a 99 without taking the whole dash apart...trying to get the blower unstuck from full heat. everything i;ve found says its electronic and that you can get to it behind the glovebox, but i may be dumb. i'm working on the dd this week trying to get ready for a road trip to philly on friday. a/c compressor kicks on, so i'm hoping this thing will have cold air this summer

use a sawzall...works on about every project...from plumbing to unwanted pregnancies.

A guy told me yesterday that pick up plates in IL went up to $199.00 for renewal.
Pick up like that would go on an S-10 or a Tacoma...
Is this true?
Anyone have first hand knowledge of this?
Anyone in another state want to give me an address to "move to"?

EDIT, A quick Google search tells me this is not true...

This is what I am paying now.
Taco, 8000 pounds, $101
Tool trailer, 5000 pounds, $54
Camper, 5000 pound RV $30
F-350, 12,000 pounds $158
Equipment trailer, 14000 pounds $343
I want to buy a dump trailer, but that will be another $343 per year.

Illinois does suck.
I read that you can license trailers in Maine and not live there,it is a one time fee, that is why you see a lot of commercial trailers with Maine plates.

always room at Cheeseman Fab......

on a side note...I am back in the XJ game. Pics to come in the coming days.....

why...why....why....do I do this to myself??

So my current boss is letting me buy my $400, almost new, welding helmet for $50.....I have only used a couple hours when I was filling in for multiple people being out.....

Want to talk about registration fees...come to Indiana...

No. Just did my plates. $101 on a regular renewal. If you think you need some message on your plates its more but I never spent money on that stuff.
My car trailer is $58. Gotta have a C plate to go over 5k gross.

I guess I am a glutton for old projects...I am trying to get bought a 86 Chevy K30 (or C30?). All I know is that it has a newer motor and tranny, its a one ton single wheel with a flat bed and a bale spike. Minimal rust and looks to be a solid truck. Nice thing about these old trucks is that any real mechanic can fix anything on them with simple tools and parts are cheap and readily available....or you can swap a complete LS drivetrain in one for cheap too. Will know by tomorrow afternoon if I got it bought or not......looks like Tim rig but not near as nice.

Sweet! I'm in love with mine. It looks good from far but it's far from good.

I got this over the weekend. 84 k30 350/400 205 d60 14b with hummer wheels.

I got hung at the counter this morning and did not get back to bid at the end of the auction and missed that truck by $100! I was pissed! But I will keep my eyes open bc I like the simplicity of the vehicles and parts are super easy to get. There are plenty more out there, now to just keep searching. The appeal to this one was it had a reman motor and a flat bed w/ a bale spike.

I bought a 97 XJ this morning and will be picking it up this weekend. Has a weak tranny but not a bad rig overall. Found a tranny for $200.
