Important

We have now been doing the same process in my welding class for 3 stright weeks(3days)
Talk for a half hour, then weld for 4 hours. Butt joint, then lap joint, then tee joint. Rinse and repeat for 4 hours.

I have probably don't that process about 50 times and counting.

I understand that the best way to learn to weld is to practice welding. But damn this is repetative. I wish he'd let us play with the mig or tig. Nope. Those are for their own classes.

We were just talking about how awesome it would be if it was not his mom. just some lady beating the shit out of a random kid...

I guess I am a glutton for old projects...I am trying to get bought a 86 Chevy K30 (or C30?). All I know is that it has a newer motor and tranny, its a one ton single wheel with a flat bed and a bale spike. Minimal rust and looks to be a solid truck. Nice thing about these old trucks is that any real mechanic can fix anything on them with simple tools and parts are cheap and readily available....or you can swap a complete LS drivetrain in one for cheap too. Will know by tomorrow afternoon if I got it bought or not......looks like Tim rig but not near as nice.

Back safe from Iowa...dragging ass today at work. No real details yet, but I think its looking like we may be looking hard at moving back to Iowa in the next two years. Wife and I have a lot of discussing to do...

oh it's not working, it's super critical, why bother to call the guy that builds and maintains it?
I know, I'll just push the reset button.
Oh, it was in the middle of an auto recovery on the raid 5 because it kicked a failed drive out and integrated the hot spare automatically like it was supposed to?
oops.

true story.

I've recovered the raid volume, but the NTDS store was boned.

ntdsutil got me jack, even though it said it repaired the databse and I verified it
so it looks like after dinner I'll be going back to work to use DISM to pull the AD roles from the machine so I can get it into normal mode. It was the BDC running an SQL server for DIMS, so IDGAF about it's domain roles, I'll just dcpromo it back into the domain when it makes it back on site.

no, I don't expect anyone to know what that means, but typing it out made me feel better about the plan.

it's probably not gonna work and I'm going to spend all night doing server 2008 stuff again and remounting the database.

because calling my cell phone was way to difficult.

I know what IDGAF means :D
