Sometimes I do things based off the principle of the matter...I was set to buy a new trailer this week and sell my other 2. When it came down to it the dealer and I were within $200 of each other. He kept saying "you would let this deal fall apart over $200?" My reply was "just as much as you will". So long story short, I decided to keep both trailers and the new truck went in for a new B&W gn hitch and bed outlet. I spent $600 on that to not give the dealer $200...
They guy that was lined up to buy my gn trailer is a bit unhappy I think, but hell, he can just keep his money and continue to borrow it for free like he always had before.

I walked away from a new car deal one time over $200.00 the salesman said the same thing, "You are going to walk away over $200.00?
I said, "No, you are loosing this deal over $200.00"

I routinely walk away from cars at auction over $50, most of the time I'm 100 or 2 over what I want to give anyways.
We are a no haggle, no pressure, no sales person beating you down to but a car. We let the car sale itself, we do not pounce on a person as soon as the come on the lot. The price you see is what you get, payments include everything.
I don't understand the cut throat sales of big lots. But then again they can't tell someone to kick rocks if they smell bad or are stupid.

Before buying the house I'm in I was within $2k of another house.
Walked away cause the seller wouldn't budge.
In the end my house was better, so I'm glad I stuck to my guns.

keep forgetting that we are driving to iowa this weekend...will be passing through PA, OH, IN, and IL...probably will be hitting the middle of ohio around lunch and the west side of IN for dinner on the way out. we will be driving a rental so if anyone needs anything on the parts train it will have to be small lol.
