he was right about beater xj's electrical woes. Hilltards ran a new antenna wire, didn't seal the hole.
Whole fuse block inside is covered in green nasty from the saltwater.

tried to catch itself on fire last night. Smoke and all. Smells bad. Crazy how I thought the smoke was coming from the cetner, so I tore that out all fast, then realized it was coming from the kick panel and migrating to the center vents.

it was a lot of smoke.
Can't believe how long it took for the fuse to pop.

Friday.....the 13th


wife is making me take her to see 50 shades of grey. she liked the book, i told her the movie will probably ruin it for her.

last moivie we went to see was "Up" way before we had a kid.
 
I told my wife I was not going to see 50 shades.

She's going to see it with the girls next week.

Not bad price. I know with electric shocks they make a retro fit kit to put hydro shocks on and diodes to fool the BCM from tossing a code. I would bet they have the same for the junk air ride shocks. I will say when they work like new they are nice.
 
every older vehicle I've seen with factory air ride has a dead compressor because the system leaked and the compressor ran 100%.

it's expensive.
I'd put regular springs back on it if its broken.

I want to watch "up" but that might not be possible for a while. I know there is a scene in it that will hit home hard with us and while I can handle it, not sure about Sarah. This Valentine's Day is the first time since we've been together we are both off. We have a few things planned (going out to Olive Garden and then going to watch dispicable me 2 at home). Will be a laid back day. Possibly the last one before we have a child (no, not yet but not for lack of trying). She works tonight so I will probably hit the gym in the morning.

If it weren't for company's like hallmark or helsberg diamonds telling you you're a pos for not buying crap for your ole lady for V day you wouldn't go out either... but in the words of limp biscuit "you did it all for the nookie"
 
Wife is working, waiting on all those people that only go out for a nice dinner on special occasions, and don't know how to tip properly.

I'm hanging out with Nate, if his heep makes it. (knocks on wood)
 
All my women will be getting worked on in the garage this weekend. A lot of projects, not a lot of time at home before Winterfest...

Coil springs with air leveling shocks? The rear air ride is really nice if you can get it to work. I'd check the compressor first like Nate said.

Or RockAuto/Amazon search Monroe P/N 90012. Converts electronic suspension to conventional. ~$120.
