Its the one day a year, I wish the Comanche had a plow....
Luckily paying for it the other 364 days keeps me from spending that money.

We had rain last night, had some snow when I got up, then it switched back to rain. We went from being on the line that separates 3-5" and 5-7" to being on the line that separates 1-2" and 2-3". Now they are saying 2-4". This is why I never trust snow forecasts until it snows. I even work at a TV stations.

Snow forecasts are so that people can plan for the worst. Try and do the meteorologist's job and see how hard it is to actually plan what the weather is gonna do. If you don't like only getting rain, move north.

I know, I give the meteorologist a hard time (jokingly) all the time about his forecasts (he plays {or tries} to play jokes on me all the time). I always laugh at his "winter forecast" he puts out in November when he says "we will have a big snow storm on this week". I will say there is one weather page I liked on facebook who always puts out the "big storm" forecast two weeks ahead of time predicting 10-14" and then later on is wrong. I don't trust normal forecasts until two days out since it takes about three days to get across the USA on average. Snow forecasts are even more difficult for me to take seriously. I usually wait until the storm gets here to decide if I need to rush to the story. If we had lake affect snow, it would be different.

Need to make a Costco trip today, hoping it will be slow with the big sports ball game and all the snow/Crappy roads.

They are saying 3-10" across the state, DSM looks like it got 4-5". It is still winter after all.

I will go to the grocery in the middle of the snowmaggedon today.

So far, looks like we got about half the 10-14" they're calling for here, still coming down pretty good.

Snowstorms would be fun, except for all the idiots on the road, especially those that think it's necessary to go half the speed limit, or less, even when there are no intersections, driveways, or anything for miles.

Well I woke this morning to a bunch of snow. I guess it's time to see if this snowblower my FIL gave me really works.

I've never used one before.

HINT: Turn the engine off when you attempt to clear the auger, even if the drive is not engaged

there's an old ariens in my driveway that has a label on the discharge chute.

The gilson label reads..if you are dumb enough to stick your hand in here with the auger running...you won't be able to hold your beer anymore.

Wisconsin built stuff was like that
