Important

putting together the materials list for Hammerfest when Sean gets out here. It will be nice having more than 6 lights in a @45x70 shop. I should probably measure it some day, I have called it 40x70, 30x60, 50x80...hell, I don't know what size it really is, but it can house a grain truck, a grain cart, 2 tractors, part of a SB pickup, a skid steer, a 32' camper, supplies and pallet racks and still has some room left over. And it will soon have an addition for horse stalls for Camille's new horse...cant wait

Cheese "I love horses too...with A-1 sauce" Man

Makes Mac's garage sound small.......Wonder when he will start shopping for a new one:D

Not gonna read the last ~40 pages I've missed... when's Winterfest? I'm debating maybe coming out again.

Out to winterfest, that is. Not out of the closet, you jokers. :moon:

edit: ahhh, March 6-7 I see now. Time to check what flights would cost.

i'm leaving thursday after work....not that i'm really that close to you anymore

It is more of a storage building than a shop. My "shop" is only 30x40 but is plenty big enough to handle the projects I bring in and it is heated and has everything in there including R2CHZ2. I am going to pour concrete this summer in the big shed in at least 1/2 of it so I have a place to work on tractors and the big trucks. My shop only has 9x7 doors in it for some reason, and they suck, you can barely get the dually in there to change the oil.

I was always kinda jealous of you guys with big garages and shops. then i realized i cant keep my 2 car garage organized and cleaned up enough to put my jeep in!

My shop is a 90x60 building with 13 lifts heat and a janitor. :D

No matter how large your shop is you will fill it with stuff. Mine is 40 x 30 with a loft and it is full. I keep some stuff at my dad's he have five sheds full of stuff. We are planning a two car garage with a loft apartment next year. Need a place to keep my boat.

QFT.

I'm 28x40 and need another 24' of cold storage.

QFT!!! My father in law purchased a 6 bay former state highway maintenance building w/ 7 acres...the building is full of shit as well as the lot. All the neighbors or other farmers use it as a staging lot for their rigs...he is a push over, I would tell them to get their shit out of there and hit the bricks. Oh, and he has 6 other big storage building that are jammed full of a bunch of worthless shit...possibly bordering on being a hoarder. When he dies, a quick walk through w a match will remedy a lot of that.

Call Antique Archeology, be on tv.

I wish it was cool or antique stuff...it is junk, like a half sawn board, a half full bucket of dried plaster, 2,398,076,987 empty plastic 5 gallon buckets, broken table saws, extension cords that are missing an end...that kind of shit.

My shops 40x40 and I could use another 40, just to fill with more crap. This spring is a major clean out of my barn,15x35, it will become storage for tires, parts, wheeling rigs and such.

My work shop is 100'x100' with a 65'x80' operations office. Heat, AC, janitor. No lifts though.
My person is a two car with a loft but it's old and not insulated.

so...speaking of shops...its probably 2 years off, but i am definitely building one on our property when the opportunity arises. will i be disappointed in a 32x40? we have a 2 car garage with a loft for our dd's and a shed for our lawn and garden stuff, but i need a place to work on one or two cars at a time and store a duck boat once i have one again. i think 32 will be as wide as it can be in the location i want to build it

28x60 heated, 100-4ft light bulbs on the 28x40 side and 36-4ft bulbs on the 28x20 side.

If I were to do anything it would be another 28x20 bay with a big ceiling for a lift.

Regardless, I'm happy with it, just wish I could move it about 3 miles east of here a bit out of the city.

mac 'we were watching house movers' gyvr

I have many trouble lights.

2 ccfl edison base bulbs in the garage brings the suck. no place to hang proper fixtures cause the garage door goes there.
