2014 Ram 1500 4x4 CCSB.

Today is my Saturday.

When did you get a Ram? Is this company vehicle have smash hole lights on it?

My office for at least two hours of my shift. Beside an hour lunch break, I have a work area where my computer is the other.

Yesterday was 1815. Sometimes I make it out by 1700, but only if there's nothing going on.
That's how it's supposed to be here. With this coming in early deal now, I'll be sure to be out by 5:00. I've put in more than enough 20+ hour days in the field that I try to limit the office OT as much as possible.

so...a complete warn 12k winch minus the solenoid pack and cable that was working worth $100? looks like the replacement control/solenoid pack is about $275. any way to safely test that the motor works without electrocuting myself?

thats sort of what i'm worried about...i'm trying to find out the weight...my other thought was fix it and then trade it for a 9.5k winch.

you should be able put 12v to a motor wire and ground the housing.

it should spin.

When I first read Craig's question, I wasn't able to answer.. and the first thing that came to mind was tell him to do this. The second thing that came to mind, it wasn't the safest way to test it.. but it was the Nate-approved way.

lol...i knew that would work, i just know some of the motors draw a lot of amperage. maybe i could take a solenoid off a starter in the garage lol

Nah just use jumper cables of the guy who's selling it car. If he says no then walk away as he's selling a paper weight, if he says yes then it's good.
