Important

I gotta go to Akron and PM their fleet tomorrow. All time and a half and its 3 hours of driving and 4-5 hours of work. Easy money for Uncle Sam because I won't even see a third of it.

that is a lot better work to travel ratio then I have had all week. I have not added up the miles but it was a lot for very little work at each site. A flight a day Monday thru Friday...

I have caught a couple of cool sites in my travels along the west coast.

In "MN" on the last leg of flights, going to be happy to be home and in one spot for more then a day.

Business taxes are making my head swim, I was too busy chasing skirts in high school to pay attention in math/econ class, that was over 20 years ago with a lot of beer and skirts in between.

Business taxes are not that bad, get Turbo Tax for small business and answer the questions.
The best thing about it is you can fill it out several times until you get the results you like. ;)
When you are done, click the box that asks if you want them to represent you in case of an audit, cheap insurance....

qft...turbo tax changed my life and i always pay for the audit defense too. i was paying 4-500 for tax prep every year, but turbo tax asks the exact same questions as the tax preparers i used...

Congrats Brennan. Was a fun and scary day signing my name for a house. Got really good at signing my signature doing it tho.

That's awesome congrats! Always a good feeling when a house gets a clean bill of health.

Get ready to sign your life away at the closing table...

Thanks guys!

It's exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. It's going so smooth so far I'm just waiting for something to happen. Hopefully I'll have the keys right after the new year.

Last big hurdle is proving finances and getting the mortgage written. After that its a matter of meeting at the closing table, handing over a check, and if your state is better than NC you get the keys.

In NC at least you can't get the keys anymore at the closing table. The closing attorney has to send his intern/office bitch down to the courthouse to officially record the documents. The whole thing of "well if something happens to the house between signing and recording who's responsible..blah blah. Some attorneys here are legit and simply say "don't do anyting stupid until tonight". Others, not so much...

Seems like Norfolk and Southern here in Fort Wayne is always hiring...tho they have spots all over.

I have three buddies that work for them.

One is an engineer, one is a car man, and one is a signal guy.

Not a bad gig. Just prepare to not have a life. Class 1 transportation = the extra board for probably most of your career, but its a 50k a year at least job. Probably closer to 60k mim to be honest. That being said I do believe G&W was hiring for their I&O line. You won't make as much, but you'll probably have more of a home life. gwrr.com if anyone is interested...

.68l per cylinder

Is that the one in Berne? Looks good! You will like the V10, they have a weird exhaust tone though.

Our Yukon got 11 MPG on the last tank, mixed city/hwy and plenty of remote start warmup time. I love the 90s Viper siren chirp every time it locks/unlocks. :D

I think I get close to that if I can keep my foot out of the 8.1 in my XL. But that can be hard to do sometimes.

On a Side note, I got that 98 2dr so after the first of the year I'll start swaping the lift from the 99 onto the 98. Wish I could find some 4.56 axles to swap in at the same time.

So I have decided to build a 9" for my jeep after a series of unfortunate events with the 8.25. Now that it is all disassembled I need to know what the measurement is flange to flange. So we can start the 9" build anyone know what it is? Jeep is a 98 four door.

Not the one in Berne...

2000 v-10 limited 4x4 149k. Has a bit more rust than I like, needs a few things...tlc.

Power on tap! Rated to tow 10k.

Got it for a really good price, a diesel is 5-7 times more than what I paid.
