Today's class is "Green Building Methods and Inspections"
I think one of the exercises will be to hug a tree.
I will burn a bunch of plastic bags.
Does any one have a compact florescent bulb that is over 5 years old?
HYPE....

Oh, and they lived!

How much lift will one of those random springs laying on the ground give the jeep. :D

In my "green" class(wind energy) we do not huge trees, we chop them up. last night i spent 5 hours carving into a piece of ceder with precise measurements(something that is usually not in my forte) to build blades for the wind turbine we are building out of scratch.

interesting work for a classroom.

boss has a buddy with a JKU. brought him the keys says he wants us to make it "cool" boss knows im in the jeep game. damn near gave me a blank check to work with.
working with rew, i had over 6 grand in "cool" parts within an hour
boss said bring it down a notch, he not a wheeler.
brought it down to a 3.5 RE lift, 35/12.50R18 GY MTR's, sending stock wheels to get powder coated black and a blackhawks tire cover for the spare.

lift kit came with a 2015 jeep calender for free
that went in my desk.

so this was a fun little project to get me out of the normal. really made me want one of these even though my check book cries if i even think about it. nothing much but i thought id share a couple pics.

like i said, we went 35x12.50xR18 GY mtr's

lift install

also, the blackhawks tire cover was to cover the stock wheel and tire so we didn't have to spend another 600 on a spare and not look that bad.

finished product

there are a couple more side things i would like to see but i guess customer wants it today so its not happening.
i would like to see either painted running boards to match the wheels, or some form of steel running boards/sliders.
and i would like to spray some of that lamp paint on the orange lights.

not to mentions stock JK front bumpers are sooooo fing ugly, so that should be changed. but whatever, i did my job and it sits and rides nice.

perfect lift and tire combo imo.
