Important

Just bought a '95 GMC Jimmy for $200. Going to use the motor/trans in the CJ5 project. I don't know if I want to use the Jimmy's electric 233 tcase or use the 231 I currently have for it, opinions and GO!

yes.

parts are available at any RV place that's a cummins/onan dealer.
old school wisconsin that rus at 1600RPM and will never die. Can be wired 110 or 220. You'll find the wiring diagram in the hookup box on the lid.

I have one like it in the garage.
if you clean the carb and it runs it's worth a few hundred bucks.

What he said, except the 4k one I had could not be wired for 220 for some reason.

There are forums too.

You can find the manual for that one online.

4k is a standard RV size.

Dan there is a bus dealership/graveyard close to me. I could stop over there tomorrow and take a gander if you'd like. From what I seen from the road I think it's mostly school buses though... Yellow Bus Sales is the name of the place.

I would buy a yellow one if the price is right, and would travel if the price is really right. I'm going to contact some local metal recyclers to see if they have any busses to scrap.

I found a sweet deal on an LS1. Somebody tell me I'm crazy.

you're crazy not to. better yet, I DARE YOU!

If you can flip that LS1 easily I'd buy but if not pass, the LS motors are better all around.

I'll do some digging and let ya'll know what I find on that genset

again...I am the wrong person to ask if you want someone to talk you out of it. I love the LS motors and there is a huge aftermarket support out there as well as easily made HP. The C10 is sounding and running beautifully. I have never regreted doing the LS swap.

just have it snuck to Cheeseman Fab World Headquarters and worry about the rest later.....you and Jennie need a trip down to visit anyhow, and I would put ya up in the cabin too! there is so much interesting shit to see that is, well, not Ohio.
