Took the ST down to Kershaw SC for a weekend of track time. My first track event and i'm beyond hooked now!

Did 187 miles on the track between yesterday and today. About 10 sessions total. Burned 3/4 a tank on Saturday (11mpg avg) and an entire tank today (8mpg avg). Started off by winning a set of Carbotech racing pads first thing yesterday morning by winning the stopping challenge for my group. My factory brakes went from about 35% worn to 75% worn, so i'll be looking for some OE replacements to DD very soon and keeping the racing pads for racing only. Very impressed with the all season tires I put on this summer. I didn't think they'd handle for shit but they really surprised me. I can't wait to see what Discount Tire says when I bring it in for the next rotation and balance

It turned a LOT of heads this weekend, even from the more experienced racers. Had a lot of people come up and ask what I had done to it. They were very surprised to hear "bone stock with all season tires."

I also picked up on the skills a lot quicker than I thought I would.

Camped at Brown County this weekend, had a great time even though the overnight temps were in the 30s. Nuked the trans in the F350 on the way home; lost OD and trans temp hit 280* twice. Had to have a buddy tow the camper home from Bloomington. Looks like I will be rebuilding the trans or trading that piece in.

Nice! I did a semester on the Baja team when I was at UNC Charlotte. The orginaztion was poorly run so we never made it to competition though.
