so i think we have a new plan...

originally we were going to put the money from the sale of my xj towards a car with a back seat and i was going to use parts money that i have to buy another xj, but that seems silly. we don't quite have enough cash to buy the type of car we want to get, so we would have to wait a few more months anyway. so, for now the plan is to use the money to buy another stock xj that runs and drives, then i can either take that or the wj when i go away on a trip for work. right now my wife is at the mercy of other people if i take the wj out of tow since the xj doesn't have a back seat. she is very comfortable driving the wj and would be perfectly fine driving a stock xj for a little while. i have some bigger checks coming my way as fall gets closer, so we will buy a car then. until then, i'll continue to add parts to the xj pile ;) i have a pretty good stash right now...

the only tricky part is that it only gives me the winter to get it ready for winterfest, so i need to make sure i have everything i need beforehand.

meh, you can rock a stock XJ at winterfest and have tons of fun. It's the badlands.

I wouldn't worry about it, and I'd be inclined to just leave it stock and not stress out about taking it apart and getting it back together again.

the jeep won't influence me coming to winterfest...heck, i'd be happy just riding along with someone. i'm hoping to take a trip to colorado next summer, and the wife informed me she wants to go to northern cali next fall which will include driving through utah and nevada. Those are really the most important things. my primary goal with winterfest this year is just to be there lol

Yeah I'm thinking about maybe converting one of my buggies to brushless.

Or a mini e revo...

Soo many decisions

It's expensive buying food for your family for two weeks of camping and for your house/dog sitter for two weeks...
