My xj is as good as sold. The kids are from a jeep family so I feel better about that. He just sold a yj to buy another xj (this will be his 3rd) his dad drives a lifted xj and his girlfriend drives a tj. I prefer that to some kid who wants it to kill it

Well just my luck. Took zj into transmission shop to try and figure out it's weird shifting problem. Of course it doesn't do it for them and they say they can't find anything wrong with it. Told me to just drive it until it gets worse.

how old is the tps?

The 5.9 tranny was doing some funny things after a rebuild.

replaced the tps and cleaned it all up.

I don't know old the tps is. Only thing I've done with it so far is replaced IAC. Don't know what else to look at.

It's just acting up when going into 3rd gear. Instead of shifting it will just keep rising in rpms without shifting. If I let up on the gas pedal a little bit it will shift and be just fine. It only does it intermittently tho.
