now i have a week to debate it...i told them i would not take less than my asking price, so don't try haggling. basically i listed it at $1750 and that price would go up depending on if i put a different set of long arms on it or not...its more that i could get parting out my rig...the only thing of value on mine is the trac bar, tires and the front coils...other than that its a high mileage beater. i'm not sure its cool to suddenly pull the plug on the deal, so i feel like if they really want it for what i'm asking, i probably should let it go. i just cant really imagine not having it...10 years and 240,000 miles in the drivers seat. (well drivers seat number 3 :)

I have 0 regrets and had one of the most built xjs in the Midwest....didn't use it enough

I got rid of my grand Cherokee a couple years ago and I regret it every day. it was the first rig that I took my son and wife offroad in so it had a lot of memories with it. it all depends on what you think will be best for you.
 
Well that's one of my dilemmas...mine gets used all the time. But it would be nice to have something with a few less miles and that hasn't been in 5 accidents
 
Can you post a pic of your floor? May really not be that bad.

If you do get rid of it go for the 2dr but sitting in the weeds trashes floors and gas tanks are full of rust...

I have a 98 4dr that needs a trans, that I'm sure I will never do anything with. Also have a near rust free under 120k 90 4dr limited that needs a 4.0. But nothing in running condition, just hard to find any more. I went from having 60+ at one time to 9 now in the last 8 years.
 
I've had my buggy(was an 89 2dr) for about 15years. Offered it for sale many times but no takers, now it's at a point that it's not going anywhere but the crusher if I get rid of it

it cost ridiculous money to use it

Sell it, find you a rust free clean stock jeep. Keep it stock, jeep every day and not constantly be wrenching on it.

best decision I made vehicle wise.
 
Had mine 13.5 years. It was cutting edge in xjs with one of the first rear coil conversions and then later coil overs.

It was fun. But when it got down to only two or three trips a year and pretty much not drive able on the street, it just wasn't worth it.

I thought it would be harder to get rid of...but it was pretty easy.

I don't miss it, I hope someone is still beating on it somewhere and glad it didn't sell it locally.

If I get a hint of missing it...I drive the LJ around and forget about it.

Sell it? Price?

My current jeep is a Renix, I have Renix parts, I have a Renix scanner, etc. I'd like to stay 87-90, which means between the two door and the Wagoneer I'd rather have the Wagoneer.

I really don't think the floor is that bad, I just don't have the skill to fix it with the curves and stuff where it is.
I asked on one of the Facebook groups and didn't really get an answer (I was kinda looking for someone local to do it for me).
Right above the spring hanger, pretty much whole floor under passengers rear seat.

I regret selling my 01 sometimes. It was pretty much at the end of the build path I wanted, so I got bored with it. Should have kept it though, clean 2001 with 55k on it.

I'm also glad it didn't sell locally.
 
I sold mine to doug, and I enjoy seeing him wheeling it.

it was that or the scrapyard, so at least it lives on doing ugly truck things.
 
I know its not very bad, which is why I'm trying tofind a way to fix it. I'd rather not get rid of this one. I just don't have the skill or tools to fix it myself and being over the spring hanger its kind of a structural spot...
The truck and jeep have sequential plates and titles too. Lol

post pics. I think I want it, as long as is not going anywhere any time soon.
 
So I ripped out my carpet. Hardwood floor underneath could use refinishing.

Whats my cheapest option? Or should I just wash it and throw rugs over it?

I'm trying to remove stink. Wet dog odor to be exact

I foresee lots of fastener drama rebuilding it. After throwing a crank in with all the other parts it may need it you would probably break even selling it.

That would be a great motor freshly rebuilt. Im a bigger fan of the older johnson/evinrudes but their basic 2 stroke was a reliable motor.

I wheel the crap out of nates rusty truck. Im like the make a wish foundation for terminally rusty jeeps...


I will say this, ive had a lot of cool fun jeeps that i never would have owned had i not sold the first one.
