Threaten them with off shifts.

I've been handicapped by my CO. He's not willing to make them work more to compensate for their lack of performance. So I'm stuck with them knowing that regardless of what they do, they get to go home. And I'm not in a position to directly affect their shift choice, I'm in the management work center.
 
How do you make a salary employee that you can't fire want to do their job?

That's a tuff one .can you slide any shit down hill at them?

I hate steering box bolts. I've always had them break. But the aluminum would be seized to them and I could just spin thrm out. Not on baby jeep. Had to go get the torches and heat them up.
 
Just tired of it I suppose. It's been 17 years of the same broken record. The problem now is that the timeout generation thinks that the paycheck shows up and they don't have to work for it.
I like the phrase "Timeout Generation". I will use that one. :banghead:
 
So...I found a d44 housing shafts and gears/carrier for $100 for an xj. Its about 2.5 hours out of the city so I ask the guy if he can drive 30 miles south ti meet me for an extra $25. He tells me he doesn't have a vehicle reliable enough to make it 30 miles...really? If I had vehicles that couldn't make it 30 miles, I would light them on fire
 
Got front room mostly set up. Lawson bolt cabinet moved. Shop cleaned up a little. Slooooowwwwllllyyy making progress.
