The campground address will not be exact in a GPS.

Use these coordinates.

N 36.91156
W 083.19885

That is exactly where the campground is located.

The trails start at the campground past the cabins.

The town where the fast food, auto parts and gas stations are is down 119 to 421. It's about 10 minutes.

Once you get close keep your eyes open. I just about missed the turn into the campground because it sneaks up on you, even though they have a good sized sign.

I want to watch 140 Reds baseball games a year and all the NASCAR coverage that I can get my hands on...

mac 'hasn't made it to those yet' gyvr

MLB internet package runs through Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. You sign up for the internet package and use the MLB app to watch the games on your TV.

You will lose the NASCAR on the cable channels but pick it up on the antenna channels. Is it worth what you're paying a month if you can listen on the Sat radio?

I can. It's the HD oval one so it will be fun to align. Also need the little box that goes behind the receiver.

Have you checked the angle that it needs to point in relation to the campground parking lot? Hope it doesn't have to point through the mountain.

anyone know how far away the primitive sites are from where everyone will be partying?

normally i camp primitive but the site says the are secluding off in the woods and i dont need to be all drunk getting lost in the Ky woods.

also, is there like a big WF style party around a fire or do you all head somewhere else?

not far. it's one big parking lot. the primitive sights are on one side by the treeline, the campers are in the back, and the cabins are on the other side.

if you get lost in the harlan county campground you're too drunk.

You guys forget about a thing called local black out.

Reds games are blacked out because of all things they are available on Fox Sports Cincinnati which is what I can purchase on DirectV in the sports pack.

mac 'my buddy can't get Cubs games either for the same reason' gyvr

I read the fine print at the bottom and you are correct.

just don't watch baseball. It's boring anyhow.

I was just pricing cable/internet at the new place.

This is what I'm going to do. Is 25 Mbps fast enough to stream HD or should I go with the 50 Mbps plan?

I have the box, I bought it when I tried this the last time...just need to find it. We didn't put enough time into trying to align it the last time. If I can get this to work, it will be worth hanging on to DirectV.

We tried two years go to aim it and its close, but I think we can clear the mountain behind the RVs. They make them work in the cabins. Hopefully Nate actually comes this year :)

mac 'the moving dishes are awesome, but PRICEY!' gyvr

Sat radio is the back up to TV. I don't watch much, but I do try to catch my Reds and NASCAR. Plus if I miss the race, I can listen to the reply at work. I'd rather watch it if possible.

mac 'this is why winter is so boring and I don't watch much TV then' gyvr

25 mbps is plenty to run your tv apps in multiple rooms.

If you're device heavy or have multiple people in the house using laptops, ipads and stuff, you might consider the 50 mbps. I have 30 mbps service and I just had 3 adults on a laptop, the wii in the boys room, the amazon tv in the living room and a couple ipods running and didn't really notice.

Nate told me that netflix HD is something like 3 mbps required.

I like the amazon box. Bluetooth remote, hdmi and optical audio out and runs all the apps I want.

plenty.
a netflix HD stream will eat 5-6mbps.

unless you've got 5 rokus going 25mbps is fine. My wife and I got along just great with 10. I was pissed whe they "gave" us 15 and upped the price 10 dollars.

Awesome! That will save me another $20 a month. Glad to hear you like the amazon box, that's what I was planning on trying.
