Hey if you guys sold someone something and agreed on price with shipping and the buyer got it with the post office requesting more postage would you make it right or say f*ck the buyer they can deal with it?

I think it depends on how much it takes to make it right. If it showed up and it cost an extra 2 bucks, I would just pay 2 bucks and take it home.
If it showed up and it cost an extra 10 bucks, I might call the seller and ask WTF?
Depends on the cost of what you send them too. A $10 widget that cost me an extra $10 in postage is kind of screwing the buyer when you agreed to send it to them with a total price beforehand.

Agreed. also would be wondering why the price went up. did the post office quote a shipping price and did not stick to it? if so then you have problems with the post office.

All depends on cost difference. Couple bucks I wouldn't worry about and just cover it.

I would be less than pleased that I had to pay an extra $12 when you agreed to a price beforehand. If you made a mistake in the shipping cost, you should own it.
Like Sam said, if there was a mistake on the post office's part, you should talk to them about it, but after you make it right with the person you made the deal with.

How does that happen? Estimated postage at home and printed a label or something?
I always just bring stuff to the post office and they figure it out, then I pay them what they want. Less convenient but a lot more certainty that the price is correct.

an extra $12 is a pretty big damned error on estimating postage.

Wonder if they stuck it in the wrong flat rate box. id try and make the seller pay it seems like its their or the post office's fault.
