But after you light her on fire you have to explain yourself to the cops.

You know you've got a great friend when you're involved in the act of setting his pregnant wife on fire, and he's still your friend.

Nothing says "Happy Easter" like going to look at a semi for the farm. Going to look at this truck hopefully this weekend. It should be plenty good enough to haul a grain trailer or flat deck. Nothing fancy by any stretch, but cheap enough. Also looking at a late 80's Peterbilt cabover that is a current restoration...baby blue with cream and black stripes, it is sweet but want to see if it was gone through correctly or if it is just a paint job over an old truck with no updating. Our old Kenworth is about to move on to greener pastures. May be a fun restoration or rat project in the futre though.

Going to look at a couple houses for sale this weekend.

Not saying we will move anytime soon, but looking at some options.

Looking for a bit more house, and at least same size garage/shop space or larger.

Cabover tow rig? They're sweet, until you ride in them.

that they do! We have an old international cabover, it has been converted to a grain truck. It rides like a lumbar wagon and has the creature comforts of a log cabin sliding down the hill!

hay all you MI, WI, and maybe some KY, or MO folk,

I am looking for a camp ground that is lake FRONT as in slapping my tent in the sand type of front. also if canoeing is near by that would be cool. or other activities. trying to work with my brother here on planning his bachelors party.
so far the main thing we know is camping on the beach would be awesome.

ideas?

This with a Brent 440 on super singles behind it is our hauler.

Check out Patoka Lake in Southern Indiana.

Had basement water proofed 2 months ago. The 6" of rain we got last week overwhelmed the catch bassin they installed and I got water in the basement. So I have them come out and look at it and they proceed to try sell me more services and tried telling me water was coming in in a different place than where they fixed.

I reminded them about their lifetime warranty and how the garunteed the fix they did would take care of the problem. They proceeded to try to tell me how tricky water is and sometimes they have to do more work (that I need to pay for). I then let them know that I was a mechanical engineer and that if I need to educate them on hydraulics I would be happy to do so. After a little more heated discussion they have agreed to come take a look and fix the problem.

I won, on the first phone call at that. They are coming out to put in a much bigger catch basin and sump pump.....on their dime.

And I was ready to at least cover the cost of parts.

This company is actually doing the right thing.

I like it when company's do the right thing. We had our hot water heater replaced. I thought the new one looked bigger then the old one. The guy installing it said it was better built. I knew something was up when we had to have an electrician come out and extend the wiring (junction box and longer wires to it). Tuesday, a guy from the company that brought it out and installed it came out. He said they got the wrong one and they might have to replace it with the correct one. I said to get a price on keeping the new one. Since Sarah's parents paid for it (minus the electrician), I let her dad know. Shortly after, he called back, he called the company, they owned up to the mistake, they said the installer should have known better. We are keeping the current one at no extra charge. We had a 50 gallon one, now we have an 80 gallon one.

Another similar story, had a storage shed built today. The quote I got was for a lofted yard barn. When it came time to order, I didn't realize that the place we ordered it from didn't put in the lofted one. We didn't get a loft, but instead got three shelves built on the back wall (an improvement I planned to do anyway) for no extra charge. Now to wire it next month and have an electrician come out to run wire to it.

My squadron got tapped for the Oshkosh air show. It's like I'm 8 years old all over again.

I am hoping to be there with my company this year... we shall see.
