Important

Re: Re: Important

dan, thats the way i ran it. only diff is i just ran a small bracket to keep it parallel with the tie rod.

i put it on and it helped a bit but the sway bar will improve road manner much more.

i forgot to reconnect my discos after wf for a week or so and wondered why it was all over the road. felt like a race car after connecting the sway bar.

This is what I ended up doing. Originally was planning a double shear, but ended up single.

I dropped my tranny off at firepunk diesel in Plain City, OH and they are building their competition series for me with a bolt in sprag and I'll use my hipotek viper torque converter and my Msaine valve body. It's getting HD 2nd gear band, all new frictions/steel, addition clutches in 3rd and OD, and billet servo, strut, anchor, accumulator piston, and apply lever. Then I'm getting a pan from B&M that has a drain and temp sensor bung. Gonna be one stout tranny.

you're still gonna kill it.

I kinda wonder how involved a mantrans swap on a ZJ would be. I mean, 4.0 ones are pretty easy... a 5.2 one would be reasonably simple too, throw an nv3500 in there. 5.9 or heavy right foot and I wouldn't go anything under an nv4500... the ECU tuning could be interesting, but I don't think it would be too bad, there are a lot of people doing JTEC tuning now.

everything is easy after you megasquirt it and put regular gauges in it.

Just ordered and paid for a 51" and a 21" Squatch from Smash Hole. Going to mount the 51" across the front of the cab, and run the 21" on the back of the cab between the marker lamps. Should light up a lot better than my old school factory lamps and the light out back will be a HUGE difference.

bought a bus ticket to dougies today.

shipped several hundred dollars of parts to him too.

12 days until I go pick up my new truck. Excited to Jeep every day.

Or use the jtec out of a manual magnum ram. You have redo the cross member and move the starter and exhaust. It's not uncommon swap.

I spun the sprag in my 46 and I'm having a bolt in sprag put in now. The builder builds trans to hold over 900 ft lbs easily. I think I'll be ok.

Sounds like a fun project. I have been looking for a cheap mj to buy. Nothing good around here.

What are the plans for your MJ?

It's going to be a 1 day thrash fest... It's his ride back home to Ohio :-)

As of right now the farthest I've driven it is onto and off of the trailer

Finally washed some of the Winterfest mud off the Jeep. Looking forward to wheeling this weekend.

Not anymore, I came back for it.
Has a multiple cylinder misfire at idle and is just generally running like crap. Think my battery is junk now too since they didn't take care of it like I asked.
Might also have a little water in the fuel from sitting on empty all winter.

Think I'm gonna change the oxygen sensor and plug wires (I have one rubbed through).

Oxygen sensor recommendations? It has a Bosch in it now. Didn't someone say those are junk?

Bosch invented the damn things.

I'll trust them and Nippon Denso with making them.

New lead guy did something I never could get the one I demoted to do....took notes of everything I needed done today.
