Important

Good morning jeep fans!

hope all is well in Attica this morning.

every have a good time and i shall see you tonight!

SAM'bout to be a long day at work'SET

If you're not here, well, you know you suck.

I know :(

It financially did not make sense for me this year, sadly. Next year I hope to be there again.

Sold an nv4500 I paid 179 for (and two hours of my work to remove it) for $900 this morning, though, which makes me feel a little better... that's gas money for the month.

I get my XJ back tomorrow, $440, (a transmission range sensor, oil change and a CV axle on my moms van was the issues with it not running right).

Now for some interesting news, if I make it to badlands tomorrow in it, it will be the last time I wheel it stock. I mentioned to Sarah about lifting it and she didn't say no. Awesome having a wife who likes wheeling.

It isn't lifted yet... who is installing the lift for him at the campground

It will probably be an iro 3.5" lift. I will probably have a local garage put it on and it will hopefully be done by end of the year. Next year at tax time I will get 31's for it. That is unless iro isn't a good lift. I won't pretend know jack squat about lifts.

In other news.

I got it back to my place for good, cleaned it out and got it geared up for badlands this afternoon.

After today, it will go to Sarah's parents place as they have garage space. Still need to vac it out. Two months of at least one toddler messed it up and clean the carpets. Another toddler got sick and my mom missed an area.

Oh, as for the van, I gave a shade tree mechanic a month and he thought was wrong was not wrong.

Getting our pre drink on in casadacoop.

Starting to finalize plans for my XJ for this year. I will be building it up this year.

Looking at this lift kit more then likely.

Will add a full new leaf pack versus the add a leafs. Also add in the JKS quicker discos.

I don't know if I will go with 31's or 32's, I thought about going with Goodyear Duratrac's. I want something good offroad while good for snow in winter.

Before today (yesterday or Saturday), I was thinking about getting bumpers this year or next.

I like this front bumper and may order it in the next month.

I will also say that I love this club and I did wheel with another group a few times and this group is 1,000x better. Also, there is great members like Bob Loose. Last year, he let me drive his XJ into Attica to get an alternator and when that failed to produce one, he let me drive his truck to Lafayette to get one. This year, he won a rear bumper in the raffle and gave it to me. He then won more stuff.

I do think I need frame tie ins as the only brackets in it is four L shaped brackets.

A friend had some rock sliders and if he still had them, I plan on buying them from him and having the bumpers and sliders all powder coated before installation.

I do have some things I need to do to my XJ in the short term like clean it up from my mom driving it (long story, not going into details), clean the IAC again as it is high idling at times, and pin the sagging headliner back up.

Even with as little as I did today, Sarah loves going off road so my goal is to get a capable rig that she can pilot also.

I supported the club with the raffle. For the final time, I did have the money (tax refund hit my account on the 10th of February.) but family matters delayed me registering.

Well, that was an expensive winterfest! My head is still glued together and I'm not in any pain. That chair was a jerk! :gee:
