Didn't you just come down from 37"s? 38"s make most 44s sound like rice crispy cereal. If you aren't worried about the x760
or 19 spline stubs than I say doooo eeet!

I ran 38s and a D30 front with a gearless locker for a couple years...

Was one of the first rear coiled XJs...

I ran 36" iroks on my Yukoned out 44 and killed stubs like every other trip. Super joints, Yukon inners and stubs, warn premiums, Detroit, 5.13s. Whatever works for you though. 38"s would scare me on a 44 though.

This is where the Yukon chromo stub broke every time. Life time warranty but still a PITA to have to fix all the time but hey that's the part of the hobby, right?

Street tires suck...had to make my own parking spot in front of the apartment on top of an ice mountain. I knocked most of it over, but it was hard packed and the wj kept sliding off when I tried to take it at an angle...when I climbed it straight on I would get high centered and get hung up for a minute. I even got her on 3 wheels a few times. After a whole lot of fighting, I finally got on it and parked. Took about 30 min. Would have been one shot in th xj :( though I was still impressed what the wj did at stock height with crappy tires. A little lift and aggressive tires shoulda go a long ways when the time comes
