Important

I would say it depends a lot on how you and the family live.

do you all really like farming or is it something you dread doing everyday?

is he offering as much money as if you were to keep farming for many years to come?

is your son in it as deeply as you are?
there are lots of businesses that get ran into the ground because dad left it to a son who didnt want to do that for the rest of his life.

for me personally, i have a tendency to say life is not all about money.
if you love your life as a farmer and would hate to be just a 9-5er and live in the burbs forever then no sale. If you would rather build a bigger nest for your family and be able to spend more time with them because you are not farming then sale.

hard choice for sure.

Is Case in line to get any of your wife's family farm sometime down the road?

If he's into it, then that could be a future option for him instead of your place.

Its not about money, but to be debt free...less stress? You have a 9-5 job to pay the bills.

Opportunity to relocate to a better location? Do you want to?

bout time. it was starting to hurt my head. :D

My thanks to you, RedHeep and Altrocker for the help.

Altrocker helped give me the idea that the 02 sensors (and/or) the circuit that runs them were part of the issue.

RedHeep helped me determine 02 reads on the live monitor, by text from several hundred miles away.

Dan kept talking me out of buying tanerite instead of parts.

All are valid points guys, thanks for the input. Case is only 7 so he loves the thought of being a farmer, but that may change in future years. His college is already being taken care of through monthly savings/investments that we set up when he was born, so that part is covered...and if he opts to not go to school, then I will retain that $. I love farming and the opportunities it has provided for my family. My true interests lies in the row crop portions of the farms, but all that is on shares with her family, all my ground is hay or pasture ground. I would still be involved in farming, but it would be on shared family ground. Case is in line to be the next generation to take on the farms if he so chooses, his cousins have shown no interest in it at all (and they all live hundreds of miles away). It is a tough call. I have passed up many opportunities to advance within my career due to not being mobile. I am pretty much maxed out at my current level unless I were to move, and the farm has been the anchor...but the farm cash flows well (with no government checks thank you! :D) so I do hate to loose that, but it would take many years of its profits to profit like I could with this sale. Ohhhh, my head hurts....

Its hard to know what you will really want in the long run but the way I see it you are choosing between winning and winning. I would say try not to stress and do what feels right disregarding money and favoring what you would enjoy more. In the long run you will be happier and so will your family even if they don't see it right away.

Idk if that helps or even makes sense but good luck with whatever you choose man.

A wise man once told me to never sell something that was already paid for. You've talked before about your plan to own your property outright and even purchase adjacent properties. I think you like where you are and I think you like what you're doing. Think about what it takes to make you and your family happy. Then think about whether or not that reason is money.

You and I have worked a lot of long hours and weeks in our careers in order to get over the top of the mountain. You just have to decide if you want to start climbing a different one so close to being over the top of the one you're on.

Reading your posts the last 5 years makes me think you're happy where you are.

I read all that stuff on the internets, obviously it's true :D

Is it mandatory to remove AC lines when taking heater core out or can I wiggle it out without removing the lines? First time doing a heater core so just figuring it out as I go.

A couple weeks ago I installed these axle brackets. I need to do bumpstops up front. I had originally thought about hockey pucks but I dont think they will hold up when I tighten the bolt down for the coil spring plate. The bolt is a 7/16 diameter.

What should I do about bumpstops and how long should they be?
91 Cherokee 3" Rough country lift, Xflex lower arms and IRO double shear trac bar.

flex as far as you can without hitting anything, then measure the distance between the pocket and the bracket on the front. Do the same with the bolt on bumpstops in the back. for my 4.5" I had to build off the axle plates. I used daystar bumpstops in the front and rear.

Watching the news...Indianapolis Pizza guy was shot and the shooter fled in the following vehicle. It's not a normal 'important' post but hey....

Trying to decide if I can do the rockers in 2 hours tomorrow morning.... If answer is yes I will be doing rockers tomorrow....

2x6? that would be one hell of a rush. you could always do one side tomorrow and the other later.

Well hell yea 2x6....keep in mind I did emptypockets hybrid and rockers in 12. If I don't put goals and time limits on myself I will bounce from one thing to the next and not get anything done.

Going to do idler pully on truck, window regulator on jeep, hatch struts on jeep, and install rest of hold downs for camper on truck today. If I have time I will finish rebuilding winch so I probably won't even get to the damn rockers any way.

Anyone ever done a window regulator?

Don't know what door your doing but ours was the driver front and it wasn't to bad. If I remember correctly I just pulled the glass completely out and it was just a couple bolts and it was done.
