Collin even linked me to a set of 32's in the same town I am going to pick the XJ up at as well. I need to find a set of wheel spacers and I will be in business. Picking up the steel for the bumper on monday and will have a winch bumper fabbed by next weekend (going to be in New Orleans next week a few days so that will hold things up). I am excited to get this home and knock out the whirlwind project and then get back on the C10 project.

Trimmed my beard yesterday, now i miss it. its like a scarf that grows around your face. my face was so cold this morning.
 
Same one Brad. His wife being wanted something a bit bigger. So no sweat off my sack, it is a good rust free platform to start with. Already has the cheapo RC 4.5" kit, so it will get some 32's, a winch bumper, sliders and loaded for WF. Collin has some Eccos that I am picking up Monday so I can get rid of those hideous gamblers and 30x9.5's on it. i found a set of discos in teh shop the other day, so I will throw them on as well. Sure wish I would have kept the Cheeseaxles now though....damn Rewster... :D

I've been out of car audio for a couple years now, The alpine head unit in the XJ just gave up after 10 years and 3 different vehicles.

I don't want anything to flashy or colorful! Only requirement is separate sub woofer control and maybe SD/USB port.

Who is the best in car audion now? Still Alpine? Pioneer? Panasonic? Kenwood?

I just put a marine grade Kenwood head unit in mine.

Has aux port and usb.

EBay, $140ish

That is my biggest complaint about aftermarket car stereos. No I don't need 262,000 cycling color combinations. All I want is something that looks halfway stock, with USB.

The stereo in the Jeep doesn't have adjustable brightness or dimming, if I'm driving at night I usually take the faceplate off and listen to silence. Better than not being able to see anything.

I have a Clarion in the jeep. Basic blue screen.
 
Ok gonna be looking into a different Jeep here soon and need some opinions. I've already narrowed it down to wanting to get back into a grand cherokee. Only thing is whether to go with the zj or wj. What is everyone's opinions on these two Jeeps?
 
I just grabbed a cheap Dual from walmart a few years back...it survived my XJ and now is in one of my tractors...not to flashy, has a big volume control knob so my fat fingers can grab it, and has aux and USB ports on the front. It only has one color display and it is the blue, which is not too poverpowering. I am putting something a bit better quality in the C10 though...probably a classic sound unit w/ rear aux.

Alpine and Kenwood are still my top favorites for some unknown reason.....

ZJ's are plentiful and cheap. WJ look cool.

Exactly what I have in the LJ, got mine a bb with a 4 year warranty and I'm Xm too.

Doing laundry at the laundromat sucks. I am always the only white dude here...not that it bothers me one bit but the tv's are always on the Spanish channels.
