Well I got to work this morning and I was the only one there besides the Service Manager. He was out in the plow truck clearing the lot. I pull up and he says "Guess I should've told ya today is a wash, I let everyone else know. Shop is closed today." Yeah that would've been helpful before I drove all the way there. Oh well.

Rew and Sam, how many called off at your place?
 
You can still see the grass threw the dusting we got but it's stupid cold. Surprisingly it's not as icy as I thought it would be since it rained all day yesterday.

Although it looks like to the north of me got hit pretty bad after seeing some pics from justin and nate

I Think only one guy from Beecher called off. Rew screwed up a bunch of NWI people because he was here so they had to be.

I rode here with my brother who also works here and lives down the street from me. we figured safety in numbers.


found out so far that both Webb Ford and Schpel Buick are closed.

I hoped we would be. when they they are calling the weather "life threatening" i don't see why its so important to come in and sell car parts.

no ones life or well being is depending on this job
 
not sure off the temp there but i had my jeep running for about 45 mins yesterday. parked in the driveway, go to start it today and i had that long slow doesn't want to start type of turning.

but it did anyways.



bet my Saturn wont start. have not drove that in a few days

Yeah I drive past Schepel every morning. At 7:30 the parking lot at Schepel looked like it wasn't even touched yet. There were cars "parked/stuck" in the entrance roads getting into the dealership. I can see why they were closed.

Between the temps (-15*) and the 30mph winds with large snow drifts everywhere, I agree with some places being closed today. Just not worth it to me. Tomorrow should be better and by the weekend it should be in the 30's in the area.

I swapped the new axle shafts in the LJ last night.

I started my jeep this morning just to let it warm up so it would start later when I go to work. It sounded angry when it finially fired, and I could barely get the stick out of first gear and into neutral. Its getting colder as the day goes on. It was -17 when I woke up and is now -21 before windchill..
 
Just let my truck run for a little bit on my lunch break, while me and Sam had a snowball fight. its a little cold out...

Fired up my Jeep this morning, didn't bitch any more than usual. Hell, I made it out of my driveway in 2wd.

We got about 13" up here. The wind has packed it pretty solid in town, I can only imagine what it's like in rural areas.
