Looking at getting some Treadwright Warden A/Ts for the two fiddy... Being a gasser, should I still go with (E)s?

Yes.

I had the Es on my XJ, they're on the MJ now... decent tires. Look and act just like BFG ATs, if a little heavier, in fact I wheeled with a few of my friends for several years before they realized they weren't real BFGs, and only then because I mentioned picking up a real BFG to replace one I slashed a sidewall on.

I had a set of the Wardens on my 96 6.5, couldn't tell they weren't BFGs unless you read the sidewall. I will be ordering a set for my '00 2500 in the spring.

I even asked em to put them on BFG AT carcasses when I ordered, and they did, so you could only tell if you actually checked closely enough to see where the new rubber met the old.

Fooled a whole bunch of people with those tires :D

Even with A/B owning Rolling Rock now, you still can't find it?

w'surprised as even podunk junction grocery carries it now'_howey

We can get regular, but not the light...

mac 'we could at one point, but can't now' gyvr

I have the treadwrights in the 19.5" flavor on the Dodge...they are the "H" ply units. They came with hella tall tread and on the duals it was almost scary when cornering b/c of the tire tread sway. They have about 8-10K on them already (yeah, we drive A LOT!). They are like any other mud grip, loud, but they are wearing well and even on the back. I would get another set. I am thinking about a set of 235's for the Toyota, but they are all out of stock right now. It will need a set of tires by spring when the mud is nasty.

Do you run them on the front too? I thought retreads on the front was kinda sketchy???

I just summited a app with the Sheriff's office here. Wish me luck.

I run virgin rubber up front due to treadwrights not offering a balance guarntee on the 19.5" size, and I had vibrations in the steering wheel. The rears I had a local shop mount up and the new stupid kid used hammer on weights on the rims...they lasted about 2 miles and I could hear them hitting the bottom of the flatbed...I brought it to the big truck tire and ag shop, they stripped off the remaining weights and put equal in the tires, it is much better now. There is still a slight vibe, but I think that came from a bent inner dual rim. if I was running anything smaller than 19.5's, I would not be afraid to run them on fronts.

good luck on the app, shiney badges are cool.

I've had terrible luck balancing treadwrights. They work for some people, I would never run one. The price is hard to argue.

Hahaha!

Dispatch and corrections. I already have radio experience from when I did my internship at a local PD that happens to be in the county and dispatch is said to be a difficult job at times so that would be cool. I'm not sure how I'd feel working in the jail but it's a better job than what in doing now.
